Grant Application

NOTE: Agencies must meet Federal IRS tax-exemption status.

Applications for funding support in 2008 will be accepted by Benzie County Community Chest beginning September 1, through November 30, 2007. Award decisions will be made in December 2007. Grantees will be notified via first class mail no later than January 30, 2008.

PURPOSE AND ACTIVITIES: To improve quality of life for residents of the Benzie County.

FIELDS OF INTEREST: Giving primarily to human services, youth and family services, emergency needs programs, affordable housing programs, food programs, health and medical services, community outreach activities including art and culture.

TYPES OF SUPPORT: Program support, continued support.

GEOGRAPHIC FOCUS: Programs serving Benzie County residents.

LIMITATIONS: Giving primarily to agencies that serve Benzie County. No grants to individuals, or for annual campaigns, capital campaigns, general operating support, match/challenge support, travel or conferences.

APPLICATION : Application form required.

INITIAL APPROACH: Letter or proposal requesting funding support.
